Annual Bluebell Festival Public Day

Fox Coverts Scout Campsite, operated by Hinckley District Scouts, is delighted to announce the much-anticipated return of the annual Bluebell Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. Nestled amidst the serene beauty of Kirkby Mallory, this event promises a day filled with wonder, community spirit, and support for the scouting movement.

Hinckley District Scouts’ campsite at Fox Coverts has been providing camping opportunities for young people since 1956. This long-standing tradition underscores the campsite's commitment to fostering outdoor experiences and personal development for young people.

the Bluebell Festival has inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the captivating charm of nature's finest display. This year, attendees can look forward to exploring 16 acres of delightful woodland adorned with a breathtaking carpet of vibrant bluebells. From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, guests will have the opportunity to wander through the picturesque landscape, engage in enlightening conversations with experienced scout leaders, and indulge in light refreshments amidst the tranquil surroundings of the campsite.

At the heart of the Bluebell Festival lies a profound mission - to support the growth and development of young individuals in the community through scouting. With a nominal donation of £2 per person, attendees not only enjoy a day of outdoor splendour but also contribute towards empowering the next generation with essential life skills.
