Police forced entry due to welfare and modern slavery concerns.
At around 6pm on Wednesday (21st July) officers from Nuneaton's Safer Neighbourhood Team discovered a cannabis farm at a site in Nuneaton.
They said they had acted on 'local intelligence' and had concerns for welfare and the potential for modern slavery.
Bedding, a mattress, and other equipment was observed inside the abandoned unit.
Upon entry they found over 300 cannabis plants, which were seized alongside electrical equipment.
They also confiscated over 50 bags of high quality compost flagged for destruction which will be donated to the local Weddington Allotment Association.
