The value of the plants is estimated to be over £300,000.

Two cannabis warrants took place in Nuneaton and Bedworth this week resulting in 450 plants being seized by Warwickshire Police.

In the Bedworth raid on Tuesday 18 July, around 300 plants were seized.

Warwickshire Police said: "Assuming the street value of £800 per plant when cropped means a potential of around £240,000 of plants were seized."

The actual street value can vary depending on the strain and size of the plant, along with a variety of other factors.

Two males were arrested following this warrant, and both have been charged with cultivation of cannabis.

PC 2074 Pedley, who led the operations for this week’s warrants, said "Twice this week, we gained entry into properties, secured drugs, and disturbed drug dealing in the local area.

“It’s exactly why we do this role and the kind of results we hope to continue".

“If you’re concerned about cannabis being grown in your area, or any other criminal activity, get in touch with us as soon as possible and we will act on it.”

In the Nuneaton raid on Wednesday 19 July, around 150 plants were seized, with an estimated street value of around £120,000.

Chief Inspector Steve Davies said “Every cannabis plant off the street is another step towards ripping out organised crime in Warwickshire by the roots. We’re very happy with the results of the two warrants this week.

“These actions don’t grow from nothing, so I’d also like to thank all of our officers who have worked hard in making these warrants a reality, and to members of the community for providing the vital intelligence we needed to act.”
