Tim Norton

Fosse 107 remembers a loyal and great friend.

It has been a difficult week for the Fosse 107 team as we have lost a loyal friend and passionate supporter of our radio station.

On Monday 22nd of July, Tim Norton died in a collision on the A447.

He was a loving husband to Anne and a wonderful father to Chris, Lydia and Emily.

The Fosse 107 team sends their heartfelt love to them at this very sad time.

Over the years Tim helped Fosse 107 countless times and championed our local radio station.

Tim was a fantastic friend to Mark and Ann Foster.

Mark Foster, said: "Tim was one of the good guys, always there with a sympathetic ear and a positive outlook. We grew up playing football and rugby together and I loved spending time with him on and off the pitch. There are countless fantastic memories I could share of him. I am devastated to lose such a truly wonderful friend. I'll miss his banter, his cheeky smile and loyalty. Love you mate."

A spokesperson for Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council said:  “Tim was General Manager of Bedworth Civic Hall for over a decade and brought many top acts to the venue, including Jimmy Carr, Al Murray and Russell Watson which put the Civic on the map.

“He was also responsible for many sell-out pantomimes at the venue, watched by thousands of schoolchildren and their parents.

“Tim previously worked as the Borough Council's principal marketing and projects officer and was instrumental in the Borough being regional winner in the 'Britain in Bloom' competition in 2001.

“Our thoughts are with Tim’s family at this sad time.’’
