A man reportedly got out of his car on Orchard Way and approached a young girl.
Detectives and officers are appealing for information after a primary-school age girl was reportedly approached by a 'suspicious man' in Nuneaton.
Between 6 pm and 6.35 pm on Tuesday 2nd of May, a man reportedly got out of his car on Orchard Way and approached a young girl, who ran away.
The man got back into his car, which is described as muddy, bronze-coloured Ford with a rusty badge, and drove off, turning left on Green Lane.
The man is described as being between 40 and 50 years old, wearing a muddy black t-shirt, baggy shoes and tatty trainers – possibly Adidas.
He was wearing a face covering but is believed to have mid-tone skin.
Detective Inspector Carl Buckley said: “We have launched a full investigation and residents in the area will have seen us out today conducting door-to-door enquiries and examining CCTV.
“I would ask anyone who saw a car matching the description in the area at that time to get in touch with us.
“Enquiries are ongoing and residents can expect to see increased patrols in the area.”
