Officers investigating the robbery of two men in Nuneaton are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The victims, a teenage man and a man in his 20s, had been night fishing in the lake at Whittleford Park. At around 4.20am on Tuesday 18 June when they were attacked by two men who stole one of their mobile phones.
The man in his 20s was treated in hospital for injuries to his face, which are not thought to be life-changing.
The first offender is described as being white, 5ft 10in tall, between 18-21 years old and of stocky build and having medium length black hair combed forward. He was wearing a white Adidas top and cotton black tracksuit bottoms. He spoke with a Nuneaton accent. He may have suffered an injury to his face in the incident.
The second offender is described as being white, between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in tall, aged between 18-21 years old and of stocky build (stockier than the first victim), and having short blond hair and a square face with stubble. He was wearing a black t-shirt and black bottoms. He also spoke with a Nuneaton accent.
Detective Constable Arun Karra from Nuneaton CID said: "This was an unprovoked attack and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify those responsible.
"We're appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to get in touch."
