Police arrested a number of young people in Shepshed on Friday after reports of trouble.
Local police officers created a Section 35 dispersal zone.
Section 35 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 gives a Police Constable and a Police Community Support Officer in uniform the power to exclude a person from an area for a period of up to 48 hours with an Inspector’s authority.
We are aware of ongoing youth issues in Shepshed. We have a youth under arrest this evening that we know is one of the ring leaders of the group. Great deal of work going on in the background to identify deal with the group moving forward. Sgt JT/Sgt Collins #Shepshed

A number of local residents took to the local facebook group to report the trouble. Police confirmed two arrests had been made.
