County Hall is showing its support for NHS staff and other key workers with banners outside its headquarters.
One of the banners offers thanks to county council staff for their continued commitment and dedication during the coronavirus pandemic, while the other banner is a wider thank-you to everyone connected with the NHS.
The county council lit up the building for a fifth week running to thank NHS and social care workers as part of the national ‘clap for carers’ campaign.
County council leader Nick Rushton said: “Unveiling banners at County Hall is another way for us to acknowledge the tremendous work which people on the frontline are doing across social care and the NHS.
“Keeping people safe and well remains our number one priority. And every day, our social care staff, alongside NHS colleagues, are working tirelessly to provide crucial round-the-clock support.
“Lighting up part of County Hall in green signals how we much we appreciate the hard work of our social care teams. The banners further emphasise that point.”
