The Civic Hall in Bedworth will continue to be used as a vaccination centre and all events are suspended.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council have confirmed that events at Bedworth Civic Hall are suspended until further notice.
The Civic Hall will continue being used as a vaccination centre, this means that any upcoming events have been cancelled.
Cllr Sue Markham, the Portfolio holder for Public Services, said: “We know that many of you will be hugely disappointed that more shows are having to be cancelled and we send our apologies to those that have been affected.
“Our focus right now is to help protect our residents and ensure we are doing all we can to enable the NHS to deliver the Covid-19 vaccines and boosters to help save lives. Covid-19 is an ongoing threat, and we need to ensure we are ready for any future upheaval it may cause. The first duty of this council is to protect public health. The jabs administered by the NHS at the Civic Hall will have saved many lives across our Borough, and we must continue to protect as many lives as possible from this terrible virus."
People with bookings are being asked to not contact the Civic Hall for a refund as the staff are working their way through the list of shows and will be in touch to issue refunds as soon as possible.
Cllr Markham, said: “The Civic Hall is a much-loved venue and terrific asset to the local community however, the Council significantly financially supports the Civic Hall’s costs each year. The continued use of the site as a vaccination centre will enable us to work on a long-term plan to ensure that Bedworth retains an entertainment venue that is financially viable for the future."
