A motorcyclist sustained a serious injury to his ankle after a collision with a car on the old A6.
It happened just before 2.15pm on Monday (21 June) and involved a blue Yamaha Fazer motorcycle and a black Volkswagen Tiguan.
The driver of the car was travelling along Loughborough Road and the motorcycle rider was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred at the mini roundabout at the junction of Barrow Road.
The rider was taken to hospital for treatment to his injury.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle beforehand. Also, anyone who was driving in the area and has video recording equipment installed in their vehicles is being asked to check the footage and contact officers if they captured anything that may be useful during the investigation.
