Bin collections across the area will not run on Monday.
Household bins in the area will not be collected this Monday (19 September) as the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is taking place.
As a result, the government have said that the day will be marked as a bank holiday.
Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council’s services, including bin collections, will not run on Monday, and the Borough Council’s offices at The Hub will also remain closed.
Bin collections that had been scheduled to take place on Monday will now be collected as follows:

Garden bins (Burbage, Witherley, Atterton and Higham on the Hill) will be collected on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 September

Refuse bins (Ratby and Groby) will be collected on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 September

Recycling bins (Burbage, Witherley, Atterton and Higham on the Hill) will be collected on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 September

Refuse and garden bins in the rural villages of Barton in Beans, Bilstone, Carlton, Congerstone, Gopsall, Odstone, Shackerstone, Little Twycross, and Norton Juxta Twycross will be collected on Friday 16 September.
Bins should be placed outside for two days by 7 am on their new collection day.
Waste collectors will not be able to return for missed bins and will also be unable to collect any side waste, other than the normal arrangements for extra recycling.
In Blaby, the change in your collection depends on the type of bin you are set to leave out next Monday.
The council are are prioritising the rescheduling of refuse and recycling bin collections.
- If your scheduled collection on Monday 19 September is supposed to be refuse your refuse bin will be collected the following Monday, alongside your scheduled recycling and Garden Waste bins
- If your scheduled collection on Monday 19 September is supposed to be recycling then your recycling bin will be emptied on the following Tuesday, 27 September. The next scheduled Garden Waste collection will be Monday 03 October.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has confirmed that no waste disposal, recycling collections or garden waste collections will take place on the day of the funeral of Her Majesty the Queen.
Instead, collections due that day will take place on Saturday 17 September.
Householders affected by this change are requested to present their bins for collection on Saturday by 7am that morning, to ensure collection.
