His death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
At around 4pm on Friday 26th March, police cordoned off the park and asked people to stay away from the area.
A number of police cars and ambulances were said to be in attendance.
The park was reopened an hour and 45 minutes later.
Police have asked people who were seen filming the scene to not share and delete the footage out of respect for the bereaved family.
Detective Inspector Ed Peake said: “We can confirm the body of a young male has been discovered at Riversley Park, Nuneaton this afternoon. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
“We are aware people were taking video footage of the scene from a distance. It is unlikely the people filming would have known the severity of the incident so out of respect for the family we would ask that this footage be deleted and not published in any way.
“The deceased’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them.”
