"The village was spotless."
Bosworth in Bloom has scooped five awards at the East Midlands Britain in Bloom awards.
The village won gold in the Large Village Category, Best Residential Front Garden and Spring Bulb Display.
Rainbow Cottage was the winner of the Best Residential Front Garden.
The judge's notes said: "This year's glorious entry was up to the usual high standard and the judges were delighted to see some new features"
"With over 100 colour themed baskets and tubs, the traditional planting is perfect for the setting and has high impact. Well organised support from the WI and Rotary keeps them healthy and immaculate. The country park with its open spaces and mature trees is well maintained and heavily used by locals and visitors alike"
"The village was spotless. Road signs had been washed and undergrowth tidied away, along with the well-maintained historic buildings this gave a real sense of civic pride"
