The bad weather this week has left soft standing pitches to wet to camp on.

All bookings for the pitches have been cancelled for the next four nights, with the hope that they can reopen on Monday (31st May).

In a Facebook post the park said it is 'one of the hardest decisions they've faced' but the condition of the ground meant it was 'something they had to do.'

It's only the second weekend that people have been able to go camping at the site, since lockdown rules were relaxed on the 17th May.

They said, We fully understand and sympathise with all who have not been on holiday due to Covid.'

 Their post in full:

"We have today sadly had to contact everyone booked to stay with us on soft standing pitches for the next 4 nights to cancel the booking.

"This is one of the hardest decisions we have faced and whilst we fully understand and sympathise with all who have not been on holiday due to covid with the wet conditions this is something we had to do.

"The sun is finally here but it's just not been enough to dry the site out after the wettest May on record, were devastated but it's the right thing to do.

"We are hoping that with an empty site and sunshine we can re-open the site on Monday.

"Many thanks for the understanding of all effected."
