A stolen bank card was used to try and buy petrol in the town.
Leicestershire Police have released an image of a man who they believe may have information about a burglary in Station Street, Loughborough.
A property was broken into between 2 am and 6 am on Saturday 4th June and a bag was taken.
Later the bank card inside the bag was used to attempt to buy petrol in the town.
PC Kelly Walker, the investigating officer, said: “I believe the man pictured may have information about this incident and therefore I would like to speak to him.
“I believe he is local to Loughborough and would ask anyone who recognises or knows him to get in touch. Likewise, if the person pictured is you, then I would ask you to come forward.”
