Council urge residents to 'not struggle alone' and to get in touch for help

If you have become, or think that you are likely to become homeless they can offer support.

If you are struggling to pay rent, are facing financial hardship or homelessness, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council are urging you to get in touch.

They've highlighted the services they offer such as officers who can help with housing issues.

Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Housing and Communities, Cllr Clare Golby, said:"There’s plenty of help out there for families and people who are struggling.

"Even if you aren’t getting benefits you may still be able to get assistance in other ways.

"My teams are here to help and advise plus there’s lots of online resources you can access yourself. Please don’t wait until it’s too late to seek help."

Housing Solutions Officers can help if you:

  • are living in privately rented accommodation and your landlord is asking you to leave

  • are living with family or friends and they have asked you to leave

  • have become, or think that you are likely to become homeless

  • are experiencing domestic abuse

  • are having difficulties paying your rent or mortgage

  • would like information on accessing privately rented accommodation

There is also a free Landlord Solutions project for landlords considering serving a notice, or for tenants who are at risk of losing their tenancy.

This service aims to help resolve any issues between tenants and landlords and sustain the tenancy where possible.
