
The Borough Council have warned they will take people to court to keep Charnwood clean.
A £400 was issued to a fly-tipper who dumped their rubbish in Mill Lane in Thurmaston.
If the culprit fails to pay then Charnwood Borough Council has the power to take them to court.
The Midlands has seen an increase in the number of the number of fly-tipping incidents during the lockdown.
The Council tweeted,
"Fly-tipping is not acceptable.
"We recently handed out a £400 fixed penalty notice to someone who dumped their rubbish in Mill Lane in Thurmaston.
"We will investigate and issue fines or take people to court as part of our drive to keep Charnwood a clean place for everyone.
"If you spot a fly-tip, please report it."
