Hollycroft Park has been awarded its 14th Green Flag Award.
Five local parks have been awarded a Green Flag Award putting them amongst the best in the UK.
In Hinckley, Hollycroft Park has been awarded its 14th Green Flag Award and Argents Mead has been awarded its seventh Green Flag Award.
The award is known as the international benchmark for parks, green spaces and cemeteries and recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces.
Councillor Lynda Hodgkins, the Borough Council's Executive Member for Street Scene Services, Parks and Open Spaces said: “The news that Hollycroft Park and Argents Mead have both achieved the Green Flag Award once again is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team that make the green space a great space that everyone can enjoy.
“Thanks are due to the staff at the council, and in particular, the Friends of Hollycroft Park Group, for their dedication and hard work that has helped Hollycroft Park to be awarded its 14th Green Flag, a fantastic achievement.”
In North West Leicestershire, Coalville Park and Broomleys Cemetery both received the award.
Councillor Michael Wyatt, Portfolio Holder for Community Services at NWLDC, said: “It’s a great achievement for our parks team to be acknowledged once again with the Green Flag Award for Coalville Park and Broomleys Cemetery.
“These awards reflect the hard work that goes into maintaining the grounds at both sites to create green spaces that are welcoming for the community.
“The team should be very proud of these achievements and I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication, including the Friends of Coalville Park for their continuous efforts.”
In Charnwood, Bradgate Park and Swithland Woods won the award for the second year running.
This year the site also achieved its first Green Heritage Award which celebrats the historic aspects of the site.
