Plus, a walk from Desford Library, Main Street at 2pm. The walk is moderate pace, lasting an hour and is not suitable for wheelchair users. No booking is required, just turn up in appropriate clothing, footwear and enjoy.
Councillor Mark Bools, Executive Member for Leisure, said: "I would encourage everyone who is able to take part in National Walking Month to get outside and visit the wide range of gorgeous nature walks locally. As part of our Active Together programme, we have a series of park walks in different locations suitable for the walker just starting out and those who are more experienced. Take a pet, meet a friend, make new friends, just move a little more and enjoy the benefits that walking can give you."
