Hinckley Council warning on BBQs after fire in Argents Mead

Barbeques are not allowed on the council green spaces.

A plastic bin was destroyed after someone left a still-alight barbeque inside.

The ground was also damaged.

The area is a popular destination for families during the hot weather, and temperatures are expected to remain high this week.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council issued a 'polite' reminder that barbeques are banned from their parks and green spaces.

Under the Facebook post one resident commented, "Such a beautiful place yet some don't seem to care about keeping it lovely"
