A Leicestershire Police spokesperson said, "Around 11.50am on Tuesday 22 June officers received a report that a man was behaving suspiciously in Loughborough.

"It was reported that the man picked up a child on Charteris Close before another man nearby shouted and the man put the child down and ran away.
