Énergie Fitness in Loughborough has announced it will remain closed for good following the pandemic.
A letter to members said the closure was largely due to Covid 19.
The team have been in business for three years. An insolvency practitioner has been appointed.
The letter to members which was also posted on instagram said:
" Dear Members,
It is with very heavy hearts that we have to tell you that we had had to make the decision not to reopen the Club after our enforced closure, due largely to Covid 19, but also the lack of support from the Government and banks. Whenever the restriction is lifted, the business will be financially unviable.
It is heartbreaking to have to come to this conclusion, especially after all the hard work the team have put into the business over the past three years and the wonderful support we have had from all of the members. We know that so many of you felt at ome in the Cliub and that it was more than just a gym, which was always what we wanted to achieve.
We hope that you all find a suitable alternative in Loughborough and that you continue to pursue your Health and Fitness goals.
Your memberships have been terminated and there will be no further charges.
Regards Susie and Steve and the energie fitness Loughborough team."
