Loughborough has won gold once again in the East Midlands in Bloom awards.
It is the eleventh time since 2011 that the town has received gold for its open spaces.
Pat Cook, chair of Loughborough in Bloom, said: “It is a fantastic honour to be awarded gold once again at this year’s ceremony.
“The recognition is well and truly deserved for all the hard work that goes into the open spaces across the town.
“I would like to thank all the community groups and volunteers that put in so much time and effort to make sure Loughborough always looks its best.”
Loughborough also picked up two other awards, winning the ‘Least Littered Environment’ and 'Spring Bulb Display' categories.
Quorn in Bloom took home a gold award for its beautifully kept open spaces.
The judges visited Loughborough in July and were shown around the Outwoods, Queen’s Park and the Forest Road Green Belt.

Cllr Jenny Bokor, the Council’s lead member for Loughborough and open spaces said: “We take great pride in all our open spaces across Loughborough, and I knew that the hard work would end up in another gold award!
“I want to say a special thank you to our open spaces partner, idverde, our waste contractor, Serco and all the volunteers and community groups who work tirelessly to make sure that our open spaces are always looking vibrant.
“It was a fantastic event and to earn gold when hosting the awards ourselves in Loughborough has made it a perfect day.”
