A 36-year-old woman, who used her home as a base for selling cocaine and heroin, has been jailed for two and a half years.
In August 2018, Laura Blake allowed her previous address in Burleigh Road, Loughborough, to be used as a ‘trap house’ to supply class A drugs.
She was also one of the dealers selling from the premises and on three separate dates in August sold cocaine and heroin five times.
Blake, pictured, was arrested as part of Operation Lionheart on day one of the enforcement phase. It came after months of gathering information and evidence on those believed to be involved.
At this time Blake was living in Peel Drive, Loughborough, where she was arrested from.
Yesterday (8 July), at Leicester Crown Court, she pleaded guilty to five counts of supplying class A drugs and one count of permitting the use of premises for the supply of class A. She was sentenced to 30 months in prison for the offences.
Also sentenced at Leicester Crown Court yesterday was 33-year-old Lindsey Partridge after she admitted being in possession of more than 30 wraps of class A drugs, as well as selling a wrap of cocaine and a wrap of heroin during a deal in Storer Road, Loughborough, on 5 September 2018.
Partridge, of Goods Yard Close in the town, was given a 16 month sentence, suspended for two years, after also pleading guilty to charges at yesterday’s court appearance.
These latest results come as Operation Lionheart marks three months of activity to detain and charge those suspected of being involved in selling illegal drugs.
Since the enforcement phase began on 9 April, officers have executed 144 warrants, made 112 arrests and charged 101 people.
Including Blake and Partridge, 31 people have already been sentenced for offences with 14 receiving a prison sentence totalling more than 35 years.
