A statement from Jacks chippy said: "Dear friends, customers and our wonderful community,
"With heavy hearts, we want to share some difficult news. Our beloved takeaway recently suffered a small fire due to an unexpected electrical failure. It’s truly devastating for us to face this, especially knowing it was beyond our control. We have poured our hearts and souls into this place, and seeing it affected this way is heartbreaking.
"We are so, so sorry for any disruption this has caused. This business isn’t just about food—it’s about the connections we’ve built, the smiles we’ve shared, and the love we have for each and every one of you. Without you, we are nothing.
"But please know this—we are resilient, and we will be back! We are already working hard to get everything sorted, and we expect to be up and running again in a week or so. Your kindness and support during this time have meant the world to us. To everyone who has reached out, offered a helping hand, or sent their best wishes—thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
"We can’t wait to welcome you all back very soon!
With love and gratitude,
Jack fish and chips management team."
