A new charity has been launched to help people in the Blue Light Card Community.
The Blue Light Card Foundation will support those who work or have worked, in, the NHS, emergency services, armed forces, and social sector.
Research done by the charity found that 90% of the Blue Light community reported that their job has negatively impacted their wellbeing and 62% have considered leaving their job because of how much it impacted their wellbeing day-to-day.
Listen to Naomi Adie, General Manager of The Blue Light Foundation & RAF Veteran here
Naomi Adie said: "It's making those conservations about your well-being in general as frequent as we talk about how rubbish the weather is in the UK. It is talking about not hitting a crisis point before you reach out for help. It is giving out tools and resources."
The foundation aims to raise up to £1m a year to support programmes and projects like the Woodland Warrior programme to ensure the entirety of the Blue Light community, including under-served components such as Cave Rescue, Mountain Rescue and Blood Bikes, know that help is available, and know where to find it.
