Cut Price Suites held an official opening in Hinckley more than a year after the former department store closed down.
Cut Price Suites, a furniture company from Leicester, that was established 30 years ago, has opened in the former Co-op store building in Hinckley.
The building on Castle Street has been empty since 2016 after the store was closed. Hinckley & Boswoth Borough Council converted the 130 space car park to a council pay and display car park for workers, shoppers, and leisure centre users.
Gareth Hancock, Partner at Cut Price Suites said: "The opening of the store will see us merging our internet team and showroom and we believe that Hinckley is the perfect place to do this. We carefully considered many areas within Leicestershire and left no stone unturned, but decided that Hinckley had exactly what we needed; the road networks, the huge investments in the town itself and the growth of residential new build properties in the area really made it stand out."
Steve Wegerif, Director of Hinckley BID said: “We very much welcome the decision by Cut Price Suites to move from Leicester into Hinckley... they are keen to be a part of the Hinckley townscape and enter into the spirit that continues to see Hinckley both win Awards and attract families into our vibrant town centre.”
