You have until next Wednesday to nominate your unsung community hero for a Residents’ Partnership Good Neighbour Award.
If you know someone on your street who always goes the extra mile then why not put their name forward? There are five categories to choose from – tenant of the year, unsung hero, group of the year, young tenant of the year and contribution to independent living scheme. Full details and nomination forms are on the Partnership website www.residentspartnership.co.uk/good-neighbour-awards-2018, and also on the Council’s website under the residents’ involvement section of Housing.
Lynne Price of the Partnership said:
“Good neighbours often make all the difference to our quality of life and these awards give recognition to our community heroes here in the Borough.
“There are so many people who work quietly in the background for the good of others, who are generous with their time within the community and whose acts of kindness make life better. These are the people we want to recognise.
“We have a wonderful community spirit here in Nuneaton and Bedworth with so many generous-hearted people – it’s time to celebrate this so please get nominating!”
Cllr Barry Longden, portfolio holder for Housing and Communities said:
“The awards give us all the opportunity to celebrate the good work that is done on our estates and those people who make life better for everyone.
Nominations close on Wednesday so get your skates on!”
Winners of the awards will be invited to a celebration event at the Town Hall on 12 July.
