Detective Constable Cook said: “Bennett’s time in prison will improve the lives of people in the town so it is welcomed.”

A 45- year-old man has been jailed for more than two years for selling drugs from his bathroom window.

Plain clothed detectives spotted Justin Bennett, from Meadow Court, conducting a drug deal at his flat while they were on patrol on 6 July 2021.

During a search of his home address, officers discovered crack cocaine and heroin.

Bennett was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court last week after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.

Detective Constable Sian Cook from Nuneaton Proactive CID said: “It’s not every day we make an arrest after we spot someone spending a penny – or in this case a few pennies - in someone’s bathroom, but in this case, we made an exception.

“This conviction is a great example of proactive policing targeting the supply of drugs in Nuneaton. Bennett’s time in prison will improve the lives of people in the town so it is welcomed.”
