Nuneaton taxi driver robbed by customer

The taxi driver was parked in a taxi rank in Bridge Street around 8 pm on Thursday.

Witnesses are being asked to come forward as a taxi driver was robbed in Nuneaton last week.

The taxi driver was parked in a taxi rank in Bridge Street around 8 pm on Thursday 17th March when he was approached by a man. 

The man asked the driver if he could take him somewhere before threatening him with what is believed to be a bladed article.

The man took a money bag and electronic equipment from the seat of the taxi and then left.

Officers are looking for a man who is described as white, around 18 years old, approximately 5ft 8in tall, clean-shaven, with short dark hair, was believed to be wearing dark coloured clothing.

Warwickshire Police want to speak to anyone who has either CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.

Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident 508 of 17 March.
