No appointment is needed and everyone over 30 can attend.

The NHS in Coventry and Warwickshire is offering walk-in appointments at Abbeygate Shopping Centre on Friday 4 June and Saturday 5 June between 10am and 5pm and at Edward Street Community Centre on Saturday 5 June between 10am and 4pm.

Local people aged 30 and over will be able to visit the vaccination sites without an appointment. These clinics are for people getting their first dose of the vaccine only.

These walk-in vaccination clinics follow a successful walk-in site at Edward Street on Saturday 29 May, where 300 people received their first vaccination.

Dr Imogen Staveley, local GP and clinical lead for Coventry and Warwickshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), said:

“It is more important than ever that people come forward for their vaccine to protect themselves and their families. If you live in Nuneaton and haven’t received your first vaccination, come along to one of the walk-in sites to get vaccinated.

“With warmer weather expected this weekend, I would encourage people attending to take a few simple precautions to ensure they are protected against the sun in case there are queues. Keep hydrated by taking a bottle of water, apply sunscreen and wear cool clothing.”
