The eight month year-old received thousands of nominations for the award during her battle with Leukaemia.

On Sunday (25th April) her father, former Coventry City footballer, Ashley Cain, who lives in Nuneaton posted to social media to confirm baby Azaylia had passed away from cancer.

In a Facebook post, Pride of Britain said, "Our thoughts are with Ashley and Safiyya who have sadly lost their beautiful daughter Azaylia after such a brave fight. She truly was an inspiration. RIP #likklelion"

As a result of Azaylia's appeal, 36,000 people have reportedly joined the charity's stem-cell register.
