The Windsor Tiffin in Burbage has announced it will be closed for two weeks after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.

The restaurant, on Windsor Street in Burbage, will now be deep cleaned and staff will self-isolate.

A post on the restaurant's website said:

"Due to a positive case of covid-19 at the restaurant, we have decided to close the restaurant for at least 2 weeks. This is to allow us to deep clean the restaurant and allow all of our staff to get coronavirus tests.

If you have dined at the restaurant or come in to collect a takeaway over the last two weeks and are displaying symptoms – we urge you to get a test.

NHS Track & Trace will be in contact for all those who provided details. If you did not provide details, yet dined at the restaurant – please self isolate as per government guidelines.

We apologise for the inconvenience but the safety of our customers and staff is paramount. If you have any questions or queries – please message us.

Please stay safe and we look forward to opening again in the near future."

It comes as Hastings High School in Burbage announced two pupils has tested positive for the virus on Friday.

The school has been deep cleaned but the school said some pupils would need to self-isolate.
