The return of children to classrooms has brought back problems with parking.
In a facebook post, police said large 4x4 congregating around schools, especially around The Square, was causing disruption to the flow of traffic.
Parents are asked to consider walking to school and find more appropriate places to drop off their children.
The post in full:
"Whilst it’s great to see youngsters back at school - we would like to gently remind parents and carers to park sensibly when picking up children.
❗️ Don’t park on zig zag markings.
❗️ Don’t park on double yellow lines.
❗️ Don’t just stop at an inappropriate place for your child to hop in or out of the vehicle.
❗️Can you walk to school?
This is especially noticeable in Market Bosworth where there a lot of large SUVs in a relatively small area.
Walking a little further is good exercise and helps keep traffic flowing - especially around The Square.
Don’t feel victimised if we challenge your inappropriate parking.
Thanks for your support."
Pupils began returning to classrooms on Monday 8 March, with all year groups back at most schools by Thursday 11 March.
