A gold bracelet was one of the things taken.
Officers are appealing for public help after a large amount of jewellery was stolen in a burglary in Coalville.
A property in Kenmore Crescent was broken into sometime between Friday 3rd and Sunday 6th of September while the owners were away.
PC Abigail Barker, from Coalville CID, is the investigating officer. She said: “Among the items taken was a gold linked bracelet that was the last thing the owner was given by her parents before they passed away."
Some of the items taken were:
- Two silver brooches – one in the shape of a polar bear and the other shaped like a wedding bow
- One silver chain and small Wedgewood Jasper pendant, which had a picture of a deer on it
- One tarnished silver pendant in different colours depicting the Yorkshire Moors with a bird flying over
- One set of pink cloisonné earrings with shades of blue and pink
- €1,000 in cash in mixed denominations
