Councillors say they will decide next month whether MIRA can build a vehicle test track on land within the Bosworth Battlefield site.
Councillors have voted to defer a decision on whether to allow Horiba MIRA to build a test track for driverless vehicles to be built on land where the Battle of Bosworth is thought to have taken place.
At a meeting of the planning committee, Councillors decided to defer any decision for a month to allow for further consultation and for a site visit by those making the decision.
Following a mtg of the Planning Committee (28 Aug) the proposal to construct a 'driver-less' car testing track' at Horiba Mira Ltd was deferred to enable the applicant to have further discussions with relevant parties & for committee members to undertake a site visit.

Horiba MIRA says the plans will create thousands of new jobs but local historians say the Battlefield land is precious and should remain undeveloped.
