Shortly after midnight on Thursday 21 September, the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) station based in Wilfred Place, Ashby-De-La-Zouch was broken into.
Police are appealing for information after cutting equipment, tools used to respond to road traffic collisions, thermal imaging cameras, chargers and batteries were taken from the station.
PC Luke Jones, who is investigating the burglary, said: “Our LFRS colleagues play a crucial role in responding to incidents such as road traffic collisions where some of this equipment is used.
“This burglary not only has a financial loss to the fire service but more importantly could have had a significant impact on their duties and commitment to serving the public.
“We are continuing to investigate this burglary and we would urge anyone who may have any information about the whereabouts of this equipment or the people responsible to get in touch.”
