A parade travelled through the town centre.
Hinckley and Bosworth residents have paid their respects at this year’s annual Remembrance Sunday services.
Hinckley’s service, on Sunday 10 November, was led by the Vicar of St Mary’s Church, Reverend Ian Hill at the Argents Mead war memorial.
Clergy and church members of different denominations, as well as the Royal British Legion and Veterans Groups, Civic Leaders, representatives of the Guiding, Scouting and Cadet Organisations, all contributed to the morning’s service.
Mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth, Councillor Robin Webber-Jones, said: “The annual Remembrance Sunday service is always an incredibly moving, emotional occasion and I was honoured to be taking part on behalf of the borough. The Garden of Remembrance was filled with veterans, serving personnel, uniformed organisations and members of the public who come together to pay their respects and to offer their thanks for those who are currently serving, and to those who made huge sacrifices before us.”
Dr Luke Evans, Member of Parliament for Hinckley and Bosworth, said "On behalf of our community it is my honour to pay tribute to the brave members of the Armed Forces and service personnel who sacrificed their tomorrows for our today.
"Over the course of Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day I visited several areas in Hinckley and Bosworth, including Hinckley, Barwell and Earl Shilton, to pay my respects.
"Thank you to the children from The Market Bosworth School and a representative from North West Leicestershire for laying wreaths on my behalf at the remembrance services in Market Bosworth and Coalville. Thank you also to everyone across our area who organise these events and who come out year on year to honour the memory of our fallen.
"My thoughts are with everyone across Hinckley and Bosworth and North West Leicestershire who is thinking of family, friends and loved ones who served, and my best wishes are with serving members of our Armed Forces."
