Hundreds of tributes have been left in Argents Mead in memory of Isla Tansey.

Hundreds of tributes have been left in Hinckley town centre in memory of a schoolgirl who died from a rare form of spinal cancer.

Seven-year-old Isla Tansey inspired people to decorate and hide stones across the world and to take selfies when they found one.

Isla died peacefully at home on 11th July. Her death was announced on her #islastones facebook page and since then hundreds of stones and tributes have been placed at the bandstand at Argents Mead in the town.

Isla's parents and her brother have visited the band-stand and in response to the growing number of tributes, her mother said on facebook: "the wonderful kind people of Hinckley will keep us going and I thank you all."

People from up and down the country have expressed an interest in sending flowers to the bandstand in memory of Isla.
