Good luck for Thursday
Thousands of Leicestershire teenagers are being wished the best of luck ahead of A-level results day this week.
The countdown has begun for around 3,000 young people at schools and colleges across the county who will find out their marks on Thursday (15 August).
Last year, Leicestershire students recorded an average of 30.7 points per entry, which is broadly in line with the national average.
I hope the students secure the grades they need to take their next step and I’m sure they’ll be glad the waiting is almost over. I want to wish them all the best of luck as they’ve worked extremely hard to gain these qualifications.

Students who want guidance after receiving their results should seek help firstly from their school or college where staff will be available to advise on the options available.
Careers advisors at the county council can also provide further advice either through schools and colleges or local centres and they can be contacted on 0116 305 6620.
