Jane Hunt spoke late on Friday evening in Parliament to pay tribute to The Queen who died on Thursday.
The Loughborough MP stood in said she was speaking on behalf of her constituents in Loughborough, Shepshed, Quorn, Barrow, Sileby, Hathern Mountsorrel and the Wolds villages to express their "deep sorrow."
She said that Loughborough had been privileged to host Her Majesty, on a number of occasions, during her long reign.
She also said that "Loughborough was honoured to play its part in marking this solemn and moving occasion in British history" with many bells ringing, made at Taylor's Bell Foundry.
