Emergency services were called to a crash on the M1 on Thursday night (20th May) involving a coach, a lorry and a car.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service said it received a call from from a passer at around 10:10pm to the northbound carriageway between junction 22 and 23 near Shepshed.
Twenty one passengers on the coach were trapped and had to be rescued by firefighters from Loughborough and Coalville and the technical rescue team. Two suffered minor injuries.
One man, who was in the car, was taken to hospital.
