Detectives are appealing for the public's help to identify four men responsible for an aggravated burglary in Nuneaton.

Police were called at 10.30pm yesterday (Monday 17 September) to a report of a burglary in progress at a house on Higham Lane, near to the junction with Milby Lane. Officers attended and established that four masked men had forced entry to the house and threatened the occupants before fleeing with a number of items including wallets, clothes, cash and jewellery.

Although very shaken, none of the occupants required medical treatment.

Detective Sergeant Carl Buckley said: "This was a terrifying attack on a family in their home. The perpetrators were aggressive and we need to catch them as soon as possible.

"We would like to speak to anyone with information that could help with our enquiries. We're particularly keen to speak to anyone driving between Long Shoot and Weddington Lane around the time of the incident, especially if they can provide dashcam footage."

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident 509 of 17 September 2018. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online via crimestoppers-uk.org
