Emergency services were called to the scene at 2:30 am.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service went to the house fire in Charnwood Road, Hinckley just after 2.30 am today (Thursday 13 January).
A statement from Leicestershire Police said: "A man was found deceased inside the property."
They have confirmed that the fire and death are not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for HM Coroner.
Identification will also be a matter for the coroner.
