Concerns over rising amounts of litter in Nuneaton's parks

An increase in visitor numbers due to the pandemic has brought with it a rise in litter across the Borough.

Hinckley and Bosworth council are worried that lockdown lifting and the expected influx of visitors will result in littering becoming an even greater problem.

Extra resources have been deployed to tackle the issue but the council are calling on visitors to clean up after themselves.

Cllr Ian Lloyd, portfolio holder for Arts and Leisure said:

“We are doing our very best to keep our borough looking clean and tidy, but we need your help.

Please, if you visit one of our green spaces or parks, help us take care of the environment and wildlife by not leaving letter behind and taking your rubbish home with you if the bins are full.”
