Dashcam footage needed following fatal collision in Measham

The incident involved a silver Mercedes car and a black Bentley car.

A woman in her 50s has died following a two-car collision in Ashby Road, Measham and Leicestershire Police are appealing for information.

Police were called to the area at 1.12 pm on Saturday 18th March.

The incident involved a silver Mercedes car and a black Bentley car.

Paramedics attended to a woman who was travelling in the Mercedes car and she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The male driver of the Mercedes, who is in his 60s, has been taken to hospital where he currently remains in a serious but stable condition.

No other serious injuries have been reported.

An investigation remains ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

Detective Constable Hal Kinsey, from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing at the scene and we are appealing to anyone with any information, who has not yet spoken to us, to make contact.

“If you saw the collision, or if you saw either of the vehicles travelling beforehand, please get in touch with us. If you have any dashcam footage from the area at the time, please also make contact with us.”
