Line-up announced for Pilot Download Festival

10,000 fans will be allowed to camp at the site on Donington Park for three days as part of the government's events programme.

Enter Shikari and Bullet for My Valentine will headline the festival, which was thought to be off this year.

Social distancing and masks are not required at the pilot, meaning dancing, hugging and moshing will all be allowed at the June event.

The line-up in full:

Those already holding Download 2022 tickets will have exclusive access for 48 hours on tickets, which go on sale on Tuesday (1st June). 

They will cost £120 excluding booking fee.

Researchers from Public Health England will be overseeing the study to gather data on transmission risk, the suspension of social distancing and face coverings over several consecutive days. 

Attendees must be:

● Be over 16
● Receive a negative Lateral Flow Test result
● Be healthy and showing no sign of Covid-19 Symptoms

You are also are required to fill out a consent form as part of the sign up process for the research programme, given the increased risk of COVID 19 transmission.

Earlier this month it was reported that only 15 people tested positive for Covid-19 out of the tens of thousands who took part in the first step of the Government's Event Research Programme.
