Two fire engines were sent to the scene.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue attended a fire at a derelict building in Barrow Upon Soar today and now believe that it was set alight on purpose.
The property on Sileby Road has 6 square meters of damage to the rear end of the ground and 1st floor.
Emergency services sent one appliance from Loughborough and another from Western to put out the flames.
It was confirmed a 12:49 that the fire had been extinguished.
