Firefighters from Shepshed visited a boy called Tommy who was injured in a crash on 12th December.
They visited him with gifts as he recovered at home after spending over a week at the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham.
A post on the Shepshed Fire Crews facebook said: "The whole team at Shepshed Fire Station decided they wanted to do something special and wanted to surprise Tommy and his brothers Calum and Jake with some gifts . Unfortunately
was busy preparing and making last minute checks for Christmas Eve, so instead S28P2
and some of our firefighters (not elves) made the special delivery."
Following the incident we decided to raise some money for our local air ambulance and the firefighters charity.
The firefighters have launched an online fundraising page, to help raise money for the service in 2021.
