Flybe flights from East Midlands Airport cancelled with immediate effect.

Airline Flybe has collapsed - just weeks after a rescue deal saved it from going bust.

In a statement East Midlands Airport has said: Anyone who is booked onto a Flybe flight, and hasn't started their journey, should not travel to the airport.

The East Midlands – Jersey/Guernsey service, which was operated by Blue Islands under a franchise agreement with Flybe, will continue to operate as normal and passengers will be unaffected. Customers with bookings for Blue Islands operated flights today (Thursday 5 March 2020) should check in at the airport as normal.

This is a difficult time for passengers whose travel plans have been disrupted. We will continue to provide information and assistance to anyone who has been affected.

Passengers who were due to travel with Flybe back to EMA should contact their travel insurance company in the first instance.

We regret the loss of Flybe which has played an important role connecting communities around the UK. From East Midlands Airport, the airline flew to Belfast and Amsterdam.
